New Years Day 2013 – Events

Humans are spiritual beings who are also intensely social creatures. We passionately enjoy special Events. Conscious spontaneous choreography is required more than just planning. At ISA we refer Top Chefs for the best jobs our VIP clients give us among other Best Job Opportunities. Job descriptions that require top expert household help. Expert Chefs who love to serve fabulous healthy food and drinks, who also make great nutritious foods for children. They’re also able to invent a solution to unexpected challenges (like sudden extra dinner guests).

TIP: Breathing (taking a deep breath such as Ujjayi breath), is your first step. But most people don’t know History. Some people still buy into “trend image”, reliant on fashion (we all role play from childhood). One image is the ‘cool’ character, a slippery trend that shifts spontaneously. Something that was cool yesterday is suddenly uncool today. Like smoking, (a growing trend) with second hand smoke adversely affecting children, or mindlessly consuming questionable foods like GMO that children are exposed to daily. These are known facts. Forget promoting an image that promotes unhealthy living, there’s nothing cool about it (our survival is at stake). Know that your behavior affects them and that children have different needs unique to their growth. You can’t presume that because you were “raised on junk food” (that famous line is so tired), that they’ll be fine.

TIP: Share Good Information. Like the fact that autism is spreading among other disorders primarily in the west. ADD and HDAD or OCD are rapidly increasing. I ran across a neurologist doctor, who wrote a book showing this can be cured or greatly improved. See more about GAP here, and listen to Dr. Mercola’s interview with Dr. Natasha Campbell-Mcbride. Find more details at both their websites. I’m not promoting these diets per se, this is in the interest of exploring learning possibilities.

Relatedly, there are many people from various countries on assignments having to live with actions to bring harm to others and to themselves. They’re told peace is difficult to reach. But there’s another story circulating. As a TED video posted by an artist showed, younger gens are reaching out across borders and religious beliefs in hopes of finding peace. All it took was one person not waiting on his government. Practice Love, you can’t stop it.

There are unlimited ways to bring a New Year. It’s not required to celebrate in mindless party time. Many of our clients are on vacation knowing we have choices how to use time, and critical to consciously assess daily. Start with bringing quality time to everything you do. If it’s not best of the best, immediately introduce something to improve the moment. It’s not one day at a time, it’s moment by moment (and beyond) don’t wait, and always have your humor ready.

This is true about Event Planning. There is nostalgia about nostalgia, as people feverishly rush to commemorate ephemeral sartorial days, from casual to formal (suggested or required) for a huge range of events. Don’t live in the past while enjoying its inspiration. We love Chanel, who took women out of dresses by putting them into men’s clothing (cross gender was not a term back then), forever ending imprisonment of female side-saddel (among other sexy freeing things). She forged her own vision and laid her own path against others who opposed and criticized. Her message was clear, don’t live vicariously and create your own freedom. Absurdly, “me centric” OCD (even when funny it’s sad), has falsely identified us as “addicts” (and as long as you ‘look good’ that’s all people care about). This is symptomatic of inventing your insanity. Despite amends and best intention efforts, we have failed to mature. We must each take responsibility for our maturation. Create your beauty-full world rather than blame memories you’re clinging to.

As things are ‘anything goes’ in 2013 we remember artists who’ve bravely insisted on new directions. Raise a toast to them yearly including our forerunners. They created the world we live in often with great personal sacrifice and unimaginable travail. None of this would have been possible without them. They didn’t have rehab, it was live or die. If you’re in New York or passing through on your way back from vacation, go see MOMA exhibit on abstraction to enjoy art that transformed the world, and our Spirit with it. See the Holocaust Museum in Washington, and then see The Scream by Munch, a lifetime opportunity. Take your friends and children with you. Human suffering has been with us since the beginning. One of the best books I ever read as a teen was I Never Promised You a Rose Garden. It put things into perspective about our expectations. This may seem a bit low for a New Year event, but it’s about being grateful, not forgetting the past.

Yves St. Laurent portrait

For those who don’t know, it was young Yves St. Laurent who originally made the smoking suit popular for women everywhere, by introducing his own original ‘every day style’ (building and inspired on Channel’s). I continue to share passion with Yves St. Laurent and his conversation with Art, who inspired me significantly in my youth.

VIP clients know it’s important to explore roles and reinvent ourselves often. Best of the best Staffing is always done with expert unsurpassed quality – as ISA is famous for. What’s important to remember is that original Art is not derivative. It’s not about copy catting, as we’re seeing increasingly fill our museums. Original means new vision. All fashion, including your jeans and t-shirts, are costumes. We come in famously naked so let’s not argue, (just smile).

Audiences to this day are not sufficiently appreciative of St. Lauren’s contribution to transforming our ability to imagine more deeply. Stories of suicide and harmful actions triggered by mental anguish are well known. But was it just mental, or also caused by being malnourished (and the social ridicule many endured for being original). Don’t forget how important healthy food is for us, which includes what we feed our souls that also affects mood swings. Fight for your rights to have healthy foods and a healthy environment. Become proactive in your communities.

Another wonderful alternative (also highly inspirational) would be going to the American Visionary Art Museum. Explore and appreciate these remarkable self-taught artists, and perhaps also volunteer your time. Rebecca Alban Hoffberger – founder – director, is also another true visionary (that goes with self-taught DIY). Children need inspiration beyond what is taught to know they can teach themselves, as these artists have. Have your Events daily as you wish!

New Years – Nostalgic Events

Sunday, December 30th, 2012 | Our Best Advice | Comments Off

Cary Grant and Deborah Kerr on New Years Eve in the movie An Affair To Remember

Like bow-ties and tuxedos, New Years Eve celebrations pairs best with love, glimmer, glamour, and champaign (according to nostalgia stats). ISA VIP clients have always set top trends for bringing in fabulous New Years (anywhere, any year). Their songs, fashions, films, and lifestyles, passionately classical yet iconically diverse (and hotly memorialized).

But regardless of being ‘cool’, we cannot and must not drift. This is a long blog because it’s been a long year filed with anguish for so many. I won’t attempt to recap that, we all know the headlines in painful detail.

I’m in a ‘stay at home’ with my husband this year’ (as we have been for decades) on New Years Eve and Day, just the two of us quietly appreciating with gratitude – as others might be too. Our love is not for management by others telling us how to be or celebrate. Among other things, it is a very personal poem we write together (and separately), and spontaneously added to daily. With that comes our personal Art, and life Shared with other artists eternally who lived and died by their own Art too. You must also first know that the Real secret is not magnetic attraction (a misleading concept as Benjamin Franklin disproved long ago) – rather, it’s that we’re all Artists without limits. Just observe any child (until the adults mess with them).

Hatshepsut

That doesn’t mean you cannot dress and have a special Nostalgic Event full of vision and prayers for better times ahead, and that those of us less fortunate be raised to “higher ground” (as invisible as it might be), with new fertile possibilities and offerings. We have a continuum (not a fiscal cliff, contrary to the media), and that means remembering who we are before everything else. Rich, middle class, poor, there is always room to learn and grow when our Souls and Spirit are not limited to others telling us what that means, or the Wisdom guidance discovery of how to transform.

Being truthfully well mannered is not optional, it’s a requirement for human co-existence. We’ve come from a ‘caveman’ Neanderthal ‘beat em up or kill them” approach, and have undeniably devolved back to it. It’s an inside job to go higher. Many of our clients are VIP high profile, so I’m blogging to address their fantastic job offers for top expert skilled people needed. TIPS to share that both clients and job applicants might find useful. Our Best Advice related to our best services. I know that others try to imitate ISAstaffing. We are all here together to Learn, and share what we’ve learned to transform Wisdom higher.

For instance, I’ve noted the increasingly bad fashion that forces us to be shocking (a boring concept), even with high profile VIP having stylists select clothing. Not everything on the runway is worth wearing (long known). And some of the best spontaneous original fashion comes from the street, as we created in our youth under tight funds. Many of our most gifted artists come from very humble poor beginnings. So what’s with the unconditional coveting of ‘brands’? Some of us know that brands and trends are not the sole driving force for high style or refined cultivated taste. And seriously, is the safety pin that sexy after all (albeit a great invention), particularly when we can all undress with our imagination alone.

Recently someone noted that I often wear black and the same clothing, and I said, yes while it goes with everything, I’m also in mourning for the planet until things transform (then who knows what I’ll wear – something space age for sure). I’ve always set my own style and that started in childhood with remembering who I am (and nothing my parents could do about it). Children simply have that sort of clarity (and not only ‘Indigo children’, as current myth circulates).

The brilliant Artist and French Chef Vatel comes to view (see the Miramex movie Vatel wonderfully played by Gerard Depardieu, if you love period films), and he wore black daily (before white took over kitchen uniforms). Full disclosure is that we have clients working at Disney (at all the studios), but this is not a plug and nobody asks us to. I reference this story because it provides and shows important TIPS every Chef, Event Planner, Organizer, Personal Assistant, Estate Manager, Butler, Valet, Party Staff, and other support staff, must know. The story goes that Vatel was responsible for an extravagant banquet for 2,000 people hosted in honor of Louis XIV by Louis, the great Condé in April 1671 at the Château de Chantilly. According to a letter by Madame de Sévigné, Vatel was so distraught about the lateness of the seafood delivery, and about other mishaps, that he committed suicide by running himself through with a sword. His body was discovered when someone came to tell him of the arrival of the fish.” But Vital had a secret that bears with passion for learning, which the story reveals (for those who can see). How do you bare yourself deeper and transform, when a “me centric” world removes you further from all? A koan and a haiku: going, going, gone..

I’m not in agreement with the trendy media definition of suicide as if it’s strictly a mental dis-order. The Mind is not our index to the Real (as some sell it including ‘drop your mind’), when it’s long known that Consciousness is (and that’s not limited to your mind or there would be no spontaneous recovery). Learning the difference, is a high Art  of Wisdom. Despite all the Yoga, meditation, and deep enlightenment Poetic insight of India gifted to the  world, the recent rape horror that beset a young girl who could not continue with her life – is without question a vivid example of insanity. The same with Pakistan and a young girl who just wanted to go to school to learn, or here in America with murdering spree.  They are not unrelated (and is not a question of how many were killed).  It’s a lie to claim that medication will control or cure this, when most are on medication when they go off the rails (and don’t forget to read the small print on those medications before taking them) – or that gun control is our problem (guns have been around for how long now). This plague is escalating, so let’s get down and clear instead of dirty.

Simply put, why is this happening to our young children this fear, this ‘call to suicide’? Suicide is at an all time high including with our military personnel (it exceeds all deaths in combat for Iraq and Afghanistan), and this despite all that we’ve accomplished in our civilization to date. Why? We must ask and investigate. Hopefully without sounding too preachy (andsorry if I do), my take on it is that we’ve forgotten what we come from (and I don’t mean “the rules” as some wish to interpret). I’m big on expertise, but not dogma.

In my twenties there were still real ‘sartorial plays’ (pick your tableaux we lived them all), and although I dropped much of the ritual that youth goes through, the love of fashion remained, as did my passion for longer creative days, (where has time gone). I’m reminded of Georgia O’Keefe and Dorothea Tanning who didn’t follow anybody (or Frieda Kahlo, Cleopatra, Hatshepsut, Queen of Sheba, Mary Shelley, and Mary Magdalene – the most important of Jesus’s disciples of them all (and lies told about each), among others we’ve been indelibly ‘inked’ with History recorded (and God initially expressed known as The Lord of History).

These women each had sublime ‘surreal style’ that greatly influenced me. I love and miss them, and all the women who’ve brought us here. Exceptional women who call to us east and west. Gorgeous people are not beautiful physically, they’re exquisitely beautiful from the inside out (and some happen to also be pretty). Do rent the movie Quasimodo written by Victor Hugo in 2013 (New Years Day?) - and enjoy the beyond memorable Charles Laughton’s portrayal.

The King of Sprezzatura remains our iconic client Cary Grant in one of the great love stories An Affair To Remember; sealed with a kiss on New Years Eve. A romantic story reminding us that love can come with great anguish (and great fashion), and still triumph. Humans are mad that way; we’re famous for being wired weird  (mysteriously true). I had the opportunity to meet with Cary Grant (even enjoyed a flirtation he initiated that made me blush, and he was definitely into women despite nay sayers), and also sadly, at the funeral private event held at Rosalind Russell’s house. I can personally say that not only was he the embodiment of original style and vision (even more pronounced live), he was also his own greatest work of Art. Every year at ISA we raise a champaign toast in deep appreciation –  2013 Thanks: To All Our Amazing Clients, past and present.

Rita Levi-Montalcini - biologist and Nobel Prize winner died at 103 today 12-30-12

Which brings me to also mention another iconic original who lived until 103 years young in 2012: biologist Rita Levi-Montalcini. She conducted research in defiance of fascist persecution, and emerged from that madness to win a Nobel Prize for assisting to unlock the mystery of the cell. Ms. Levi-Montalcini passed at her home in Italy much revered, inspired, and passing her burning curiosity vision-fire to younger gens.  Female scientists who won’t stop in spite of horrific obstructions against women (to find freedom as they deem), as we still see tragically taking place worldwide. Her groundbreaking research despite Nazi invasion (she was Jewish) that gave her the name “Lady of the Cells”. A blessed long life lived. She said “At 100, I have a mind that is superior – thanks to experience – than when I was 20.”. She had to overcome her father’s objections that women should not study or obtain a degree (Earthlings can be immensely blocky about women). Our profound homage toast in memory to you Wonder Woman Levi-Montalcini, – in high “Lady” regard!

Sinatra's indelible 'ring a ding ding'

While fashion and trends change, ISA proudly continues our renowned expertise tradition of dedicated staffing for clients with luxury estate household help. Our Estate Managers and Personal Assistants are passionately busy overseeing parties with the best Top Chefs, preparing exclusive private events held all over the world – with a memorable launch. From beginning to end everything must be perfect, and yet, we all know that mishaps happen and that means their best of the best expertise must quickly rise to troubleshoot creatively, and always seamlessly.

Some may mistakenly believe this blog caters only to the wealthy. Not true. We propose that all people, everywhere, wish to be liberated of all constraints, as we each intensely personally pursue towards freedom and variability. Most of our clients are self-made people who did not come from privileged backgrounds. And lest we also forget, this planet was run by a feudal system for millennia with no hope for advancement. People’s dreams do come true, and that’s called Fairy Tales (not myths).

I found it ironic that Washington stole thunder of brining in 2013 with arguing (predictably, endlessly) over a ‘fiscal cliff’. We need to permanently transform education to a completely new learning. That doesn’t mean revisionist education or an online reformation (as some claim will save the day – and won’t), or to foolishly rely upon technology alone. These myths will get us killed, and going off-planet requires far more then textbooks that everyone agrees on.

Another original, Frank Sinatra was also a favorite of ISA staffing (see Frank give Cary the honorary Oscars he so deserved – fun banter). There’s nothing like The Rat Pack to remind us of another time, another life, that many still long for, including embellishing bad boy myths of stealing from the rich to help the poor – otherwise known as leveling the playing field

George Harrison, President Ford & his son, and Ravi Shankar at the White House

Which brings me to the nostalgic remembrance of the iconic Ravi Shankar, who spent his life expanding people’s hearts and consciousness through his joyous music. Msr. Shankar worked tirelessly for world peace pairing up with famous musicians, and most famously with George Harrison and the Beatles, who brought India’s wisdom teachings to the west in the 1960′s that merged with rock & roll.

And although many believe Rock started in the sixties we need to go earlier. It originated and evolved in the United States during the late 1940s through early 1950s, primarily from a combination of African American blues, jump blues, country, jazz, and gospel music. Although some elements of Rock was also heard in country records of the 1930s, and recorded blues records from the 1920s, it’s little known that Rock & Roll did not get that name until the 1950s.

Alexander Dumas 1855

Which brings me to Alexander Dumas, a wondrous talent of eclectic noble chivalric capacities including The Count of Monte CristoThe Three Musketeers (among other literary accolades). Most of you know his work although you might not know his name (sad situation of current education). You might wish to avail yourself of Msr. Dumas undeniable contribution to History. We have too many Europeans and Americans who’ve been whitewashed with regard to his contribution to the full scope of illumination he brought.

I know this blog is not the place (or the capacities required), but do encourage you to dig deeper in 2013 to Learn more about our Wisdom Heritage, both East and West. We’ve got to learn and remember who we are as we go off-planet. And we must take all of our stories with us, not just some. As tragically more book stores close, and less will be known. How often did you impulsively buy a book at a store or shared it with a child. While I love tablets and smart devices, there’s something about paper that cannot be compared. It’s texture magic physical, and ancient.

Send Our Best Advice news, including that George Harrison and Ravi Shankar were brought to (then) President Gerald Ford in the White House – (another one of our passed clients). Mr. Shankar’s remarkable gifts as a ‘musician’s musician’ is as a genius 16-octave scale composer (western musicians may not know or even recognizing there is anything beyond an 8-octave scale). Or have ability to hear a highly consciousness range of harmonic play – as Ravi quietly passed this month to the Cosmic Hall of Fame.

All of these remarkable people have brought us enlightenment. Thank You for your transformational works, and yours Ravi-which we shall play with vivid joy (including this New Years Eve). For those who don’t know this mystic’s signature take a moment to enjoy Ravi Shankar’s I Am Missing You, – he played in a rare live performance with George Harrison. A perfect title to express feelings for them all.

Happy New Year 2013 from all of us at ISA!

We share our Gratitude with Love and mixed Sorrow with people who may not be able to celebrate because of personal tragedy, as we continue to mourn. With heavy hearts we also raise a vigil toast this New Years Eve in remembering you, and all men and women everywhere who continue to work towards peace – keeping you all closer and dearer in our hearts. We know that all of us can do better in bringing about a higher humanity, a better humankind.

Cicero said it best: Gratitude is not only the greatest of virtues, but the parent of all others. So please fill your heart with it and abundantly share your love – for there is infinitely more where that came from and costs you nothing. Love is its own reward.

From our TIPS to you we love you all, and wish you a Peaceful Loving Interstellar filled with Blessings of a New Year 2013! Send us some of your Holiday Event TIPS, and send others Our Best Advice. Our team loves hearing form you. We have great job offers in household help in the domestic help field, if you have top job experience with top checkable references.
